These terms are the agreement between you and Across Canvas (“we”, “us”) for using acrosscanvas.com and app.acrosscanvas.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use the Service for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.
The Service
Across Canvas helps you make images and videos from templates. You choose a template, describe what you want, and AI models generate the pictures, video, voice, and captions. Your words are placed on top as editable text. You can resize designs for other platforms and export them.
Generation is done by third-party AI models that we choose and may change over time. The list of providers is in our Privacy Policy.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- One person, one free account. Creating extra accounts to collect free credits is not allowed, and we may close or merge them.
- Tell us at the address in Contact if you think someone else has used your account.
Plans and billing
We offer a Free plan and paid plans (Pro, Max, and Ultra), billed monthly or yearly. Current prices are on our pricing page. Prices are in US dollars; tax is added at checkout where required.
- Renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. We charge the payment method on file.
- Upgrades take effect immediately. Your billing period restarts on the day you upgrade, and the unused part of your old plan is credited against the new price. Unused plan credits from the old plan expire, and the new plan’s monthly credits are added in full.
- Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep your plan until then and can undo the change before it takes effect. After a cancellation your account moves to the Free plan; your projects and credit-pack credits stay.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including for the unused part of a billing period, except where the law requires otherwise or we say so in writing.
- Price changes. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your plan. The new price starts at your next renewal after that notice; you can cancel before then.
- Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
Right of withdrawal (EU and UK)
If you live in the EU or the UK, you may have a right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Because credits and plan features are delivered immediately, at checkout we ask you to agree to immediate delivery and to confirm that you lose the right of withdrawal once delivery starts.
Credits
Making images, videos, and voiceovers with AI uses credits. Editing text, resizing a design so its text reflows, and undo are free.
- Cost first. We show how many credits an action will use before it starts.
- Failed generations are refunded automatically.
- Plan credits are added each month and reset at the start of the next month; unused plan credits do not roll over.
- Credit packs can be bought on any plan, including Free. Pack credits stay usable for 12 months from purchase. Pro, Max, and Ultra members get 20% extra credits on each pack.
- Order of use. Plan credits are used before pack credits.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and are not refundable except as described in these terms.
- We may change how many credits an action costs. Changes apply to actions started after the change and never to credits you have already been charged.
Your content
“Your content” means what you upload (photos, logos, clips, text) and what you make with the Service (prompts, designs, and generated images, video, and audio).
- You own your content, to the extent the law allows. We do not claim ownership of anything you upload or make.
- License to us. You give us a limited license to store, process, and display your content only as needed to run the Service for you, including sending it to the AI providers that generate your results. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law.
- No training. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we use our providers’ services under terms that do not allow them to use your content to train theirs.
- Your rights to what you upload. Upload only content you have the right to use, and get permission from people who appear in your photos or videos.
- Similar results. AI can produce similar results for different people. Other users may make designs that look like yours, and you may not get exclusive rights to an output.
Commercial use
On Pro, Max, and Ultra you may use what you make for any lawful purpose, including ads, online stores, products for sale, and client work. Exports from the Free plan are for personal, non-commercial use, and Free plan video previews carry a watermark.
AI labels
Every export carries Content Credentials (C2PA metadata) identifying it as AI-generated, as the EU AI Act requires. Do not remove this information or present AI-generated content as a real photo or recording where the law requires you to disclose it.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to make, upload, or share:
- sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualizes minors;
- sexual or intimate images of a real person without their consent;
- realistic images, video, or voice of a real person designed to deceive, including fake endorsements and political deepfakes;
- content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- content that harasses, threatens, or promotes violence or hatred against people based on protected characteristics;
- scams, malware, or content that breaks the law where you or your audience are.
Also do not:
- try to get around credit limits, watermarks, or plan restrictions, or resell credits or access;
- scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the Service, or access it by automated means we have not offered;
- use the Service to build a competing product or dataset.
We check prompts and results automatically and may block a generation that breaks these rules; credits for a blocked generation are refunded. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break them. Report abuse to the address in Contact.
Templates and our materials
Templates, fonts, layouts, the Across Canvas name and logo, and the software belong to us or our licensors. You may use templates to make your own designs within the Service. You may not resell or redistribute templates as templates, or extract fonts or other assets to use outside the Service.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in Settings at any time.
- Your subscription is canceled the same day. The current billing period is not refunded, and all remaining credits, including pack credits, are forfeited.
- For 30 days your account is deactivated and can be restored by signing in again.
- After 30 days we permanently delete your projects, uploads, and generated media, and your billing profile with our payment processor. We keep invoices and payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
We may close an account that has broken these terms, with notice where the law requires it. If we close a paid account without cause, we refund the unused part of the current billing period.
Changes to the Service and these terms
We improve the Service continuously and may add, change, or remove features and models. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance, and you may cancel and get a refund for the unused part of the current billing period.
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. For material changes we will also email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. AI output can be inaccurate, unexpected, or unsuitable; review everything before you publish or rely on it. We do not promise the Service will always be available or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue, or data, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.
If you use the Service for a business, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims by others that arise from your content or from your breach of these terms.
